In May, 2017, the Labor Department indefinitely delayed enforcement of at least the first phase-in deadline of its electronic reporting requirements for injury and illness logs. Specifically, OSHA’s Injury and Illness Record-keeping and Reporting Requirements.
OSHA has not yet shared a new website page for employers to submit the information (as was promised), and advised one news outlet by e-mail that the enforcement delay is due to employers’ “concerns about meeting their reporting obligations” on time.
I'm wondering whether OSHA is concerned about implementing a new reporting requirement in our current political environment.
